Lincolnshire Artists
Portrait Series
A celebration of the breadth and diversity of creativity across the county of Lincolnshire.
Laura Mabbutt - Traditional Craft & Digital Media Artist
The Lincolnshire Artists Portrait Series is a celebration of creativity. From community artists and independent makers to internationally exhibiting practitioners, Lincolnshire is home to a wide network of creative practice that spans both traditional art forms and new, emerging modes of expression.
The series feature artists within their working environments - whether in a traditional studio or ‘out in the field’ - inviting viewers into the spaces where ideas are formed and work is made. Within these settings, we glimpse the accoutrements of practice: tools, materials, works-in-progress, traces of influence and inspiration. Together, these elements reveal each artist’s individual approach to creating a working environment that sustains their practice, whether decorative and richly layered or sparse, utilitarian, and functional.
